Abstrak

This study examines how the communication model of students who often play online PUBG mobile games. How do verbal communication messages in the PUBG mobile online game color the communication messages of STTP students. This study uses a descriptive method with qualitative analysis to provide information, facts, and data about the communication model of students who play PUBG mobile online games.The results of this study indicate that there are two communication models of students playing online games, namely the Schramm Communication Model which is formed from the communication process between game players, the players can act as senders and recipients of messages. This model is revealed when group members communicate with each other in exchanging information via Voice Chat in the game. Furthermore, the Seiler Model, formed from the action of the communication process that occurs between group members. This model emphasizes the importance offeedback and the importance of environmental factors in the communication process. That the verbal communication messages used by the players contain a lot of contemporary language and unfavorable language. In terms of conveying messages, especially in positive and negative communication situations carried out. So the verbal communication language used by online game users can be said to be an important element in their daily lives, especially in communicating whether it is done directly or indirectly.
